How to fix the Extrude Manifold feature in Blender

The premise of Extrude Manifold was great. However, even after five years, the feature does not deliver what people expected. This video shows workarounds that allow the Extrude Manifold tool in Blender to achieve results similar to those of the extrude tools in other 3D software.
